Eastern - Pleasant in taste and neutral in property, used in porridge for nourishing Lung yin for cough, moistening the Lung, clearing the heart and calming the spirit, nourishing stomach yin and harmonizing the middle burner.

There are generally several species of Bai He. This is Juan Dan Bai He. 

Juan Dan Bai He is more commonly used in Chinese medicine because it is slightly more bitter and is sometimes said to contain more of the active ingredients when compared to the Long Ya Bai He that is used in everyday cooking. Juan Dan Bai He is one of the species officially listed on the Chinese Pharmacopeia that is suitable to use as a Chinese medicine.

This herb is very difficult to find without pesticides. Our growers have put significant effort into providing a pesticide-free option for this herb.
